Mr. Lee joined Digestive Health in 2001, bringing with him over 6 years of gastroenterology subspecialty experience.  He practices general clinical gastroenterology and hepatology.

Wally was awarded a BS degree in Education, with majors in biology and Spanish and a minor in chemistry, at the University of Texas in Austin in 1976.  He received a second BS in Health Care Sciences at the University of Texas Medical Branch, School of Allied Health Sciences in Galveston, where he received his education as a Physician Assistant, in 1983.  On graduation he was recognized with the Faculty Award for Clinical Excellence. 

He worked in the fields of family practice and internal medicine in Austin for 7 years followed by 8 years of practice at the Albuquerque Regional Federal Medical Center, where he began his gastroenterology career and gained a remarkable depth of experience in clinical gastroenterology and gastrointestinal endoscopy.  Prior to moving to Digestive Health he was a Schering-Plough Hepatology Fellow in Denver, at Arapahoe Gastroenterology.

Wally has worked as an educator and educational administrator in the United States and in Central America.  He is fluent in Spanish.

In his free time he enjoys music and rockhounding and skiing in the San Juan mountains.
